Phil Campbell is a Welsh rock guitarist and musician born in Pontypridd, most famous for his role as the guitarist in Motörhead from 1984 to 2015, after the disbandment of the band following the death of front man Lemmy.
Campbell currently tours with his own band, the Bastard Sons, made up of his three actual sons and the South Wales vocalist Neil Starr. In 2016 they released their first recording, a self titled EP which earned high praise, and landed them slots opening for Suns N Roses, Saxon and Airbourne. They started recording a full length in 2017, and released it, 'The Age of Absurdity', in January 2018 through Nuclear Blast.
Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons have announced plans to tour the UK and Europe this winter. Support on the UK run will come from Leader of Down, the last band to feature the late Motörhead guitarist Würzel.
