Rhydian Roberts, better known as simply Rhydian, is a Welsh singer and actor hailing from Sennybridge. Born in 1983, he attended the Birmingham Conservatoire in his youth where he received vocal training - readying him for his assault on the X Factor in 2007, on which he finished as runner-up.
In the following years, his profile would explode and he’d release four studio albums, the first of which ranked in the Top 3 of the UK Albums chart and has since been certified as platinum. He’s also performed some massive gigs - including the 2008 Welsh Grand Slam celebrations and BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year Awards amongst others - and even earnt a show on S4C. In 2014, he returned with his next album, ‘One Day Like This’, and supported it with a tour across his homeland Wales in April and May 2015. He reaches across the rest of the UK in September and October, and before that, he'll be sharing the stage with Collabro and Elaine Paige at Scarborough Open Air Theatre in July.
