Rita Ora is an English singer originally born in Yugoslavia but based in London. Born in 1990, she would first emerge in the late '00s, having provided backing vocals for the likes of Craig David, Tinchy Stryder, and James Morrison. After spending a number of years performing and almost appearing on Eurovision, she was eventually picked up by Jay Z's Roc Nation.
2012 turned to be the year she catapulted to fame, with the star scoring her first ever #1 with the track ‘Hot Right Now’, alongside DJ Fresh. Her next single - ‘How We Do (Party)’ - only increased her presence, and paved the way for the release of her debut album ‘O.R.A’, which smashed its way to #1 in August.
Having had an unfortunate falling out with Roc Nation, Rita Ora would release a number of stand-alone singles over the coming years (including another chart-topper in I Will Never Let You Down), and is now signed to Atlantic Records.
In 2017, she returned with two new tracks - Your Song and Anywhere - and followed these up with January 2018's PROUD. It looks like she'll finally be putting together a second record, as she's additionally confirmed a UK and European tour for May 2018! She's also announced a summer show in Dundee.
