Rugby World Cup Tickets, Fixtures & Matches in 2024/2025

Last Updated: 09 Jun 2014 11:46am
The Rugby World Cup is the biggest and best rugby union competition on the planet. First started in 1987, it takes place every four years and sees all of the world’s teams competing for rights to be crowned champions of the world.

With 20 countries from across the globe entering every year, the RWC has seen some of the greatest matches of oval-balled sport fans have ever seen. And best of all, sides from the UK actually have a chance of winning!

That said, New Zealand unsurprisingly stand as the current holders and are joint-first with the most titles alongside South Africa and their neighbours Australia. Only England have won once, while Wales have managed third and fourth in their time - but that could be set to change in 2015.

Taking place over six weeks later in the year, this RWC takes place in stadiums across Britain meaning we have even more chance of seeing one of our home countries taking home the Webb Ellis Cup. And if you’re from outside the UK - come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!
