Created by North Country Boys and Butlins Live Music, the festival celebrates all late-1980s and 1990s indie and dance, hosting performances from classic and new bands, film screenings, DJ sets and pool parties. The event has previously seen performances from the likes of Echo & The Bunnymen, Cast, Shed Seven, Ash, Happy Mondays, The Wonder Stuff, The Wedding Present, Inspired Carpets, Peter Hook & The Light, Glasvegas, Teenage Fanclub, The Pigeon Detectives and many more. Shiiine On Weekender will take over Butlin's Skegness in March 2026, with headliners The Enemy, Embrace and Lightning Seeds.
