Sun Kil Moon is the folk rock project of American Mark Kozelek from San Francisco, California. Formed in 2002, as the follow-on from defunct indie rock band Red House Painters, it has since evolved into the solo moniker of frontman Mark Kozelek.

Sun Kil Moon’s debut LP, ‘Ghosts of the Great Highway’, hit shelves in 2003, followed by ‘Tiny Cities’ in 2005, ‘April’ in 2008, ‘Admiral Fell Promises’ in 2010, ‘Among the Leaves’ in 2012, ‘Benji’ in 2014, ‘Universal Themes’ in 2015. The latest release was ‘Jesu/Sun Kil Moon’, a collaborative album with Jesu. He released his latest album, ‘Common as Light and Love Are Red Valleys of Blood’, in February 2017.
