Taking Back Sunday are an American rock band from Long Island, New York, consisting of frontman Adam Lazzara, guitarist Eddie Reyes, vocalist and guitarist John Nolan, bass player Shaun Cooper and Mark O'Connell on drums.
Formed in 1999, the band released their debut album, ‘Tell All Your Friends’, in 2002, which was followed by ‘Where You Want to Be’ in 2004, which hit #3 in the Billboard Hot 200. ‘Louder Now’, released in 2006, performed even better, hitting #2 in the chart. ‘New Again’ in 2009, their self-titled fifth album in 2011 and ‘Happiness Is’, in 2014, all hit the top twenty in the chart also. The band are set to release their latest album, ‘Tidal Wave’, on September 16, via Hopeless Records. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK.They recently embarked on one of their biggest live ventures yet in celebration of the 10th anniversary of debut album ‘Tell All Your Friends’, as well as teaming up with Dashboard Confessional for the Taste the Chaos tour. Taking Back Sunday supported ’Tidal Wave’ with UK shows in February 2017, followed by a tour of Australia in the March. 2018 has seen them co-headlining a tour with Coheed and Cambria. In 2019, Taking Back Sunday are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a compilation album and a world tour, with dates in Australia, North America, South America, Asia, Europe and the UK!
