Car Seat Headrest is an American indie rock band from Virginia, featuring Will Toledo, Ethan Ives, Andrew Katz and Seth Dalby.
Formed in 2010, by Toledo as a solo project, he signed to Matador Records in 2015. Having released an impressive five albums in 2010; ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, and ‘Little Pieces of Paper With ‘No’ Written On Them’, it was actually his seventh release ‘Twin Fantasy’, released in 2011, that brought him the most attention. The twelfth release, ‘Teens of Style’, the first with Matador, was a compilation record, with ‘Teens of Denial’ going on to hit shelves in May 2016. Car Seat Headrest has announced a re-imagined version of 'Twin Fantasy', and toured the record in Australia, America, the US, Europe and the UK throughout 2018. Car Seat Headrest will head out on a North American tour in February 2019. The trek was originally scheduled to culminate in March, but will now run into the summer with dates confirmed in June, July and August.
