Robbie Williams has claimed that he already has around thirty tracks in progress for his next solo LP. The Take That singer recently finished the final European leg of the boyband’s record-breaking ‘Progress’ tour, but is apparently wasting no time before jumping into his next musical venture.

Guitarist Tom Morello has criticised nu-metal bands in an extended comment about the state of the music industry, claiming that a large proportion of modern rock acts are “diluted” and “wannabes”. The Rage Against The Machine musician also claimed that modern rock acts have sold out, pandering to the needs of record executives in seeking out the largest demographic with their music.

Mike Skinner has written and recorded ten original songs for the upcoming feature film for hit UK comedy ‘The Inbetweeners’. The musician, who is set to retire his alias The Streets after the touring cycle for his latest LP ‘Computer and Blues’, will also be joined by the likes of Miles Kane, The Vines, Ke$ha and Calvin Harris on the soundtrack to the puerile comedy.

Later this month, London-based folk-rockers Bombay Bicycle Club will be unveiling their new album ‘A Different Kind of Fix’ just over a year since last year’s Top 10 release ‘Flaws’, making this the band’s third album in three years. In September, the quartet will be kicking off an extensive UK tour, but first they’ll be hitting the summer festival circuit with appearances at Underage Festival in London, Cornwall’s Relentless Boardmasters and, of course, Reading and Leeds. Stereoboard recently caught up with the band’s drummer Suren de Saram to find out more about the new album…

Red Kyte have only been around for a short time, but have already been caught making waves in the local music scene, especially in their home town of Brighton where they won a competition, based largely on popularity, to support Futures, a band who have headlined festival stages, and sold out countless gigs in their two years of existence too. They’ve even got a legend of the music industry personally give them a shout-out.
