Welcome to this week’s Stereoboard roundup! Each week, we’ll be taking a look at the bands and artists that you’ve been reading about and buying tickets for over the past few days. We’ll check out each of these acts to find out why they've been causing so much excitement and we’ll also give you the news on what else they’ve been up to.

Foo Fighters

Unsurprisingly, last week’s Tour of the Week is this week’s biggest seller after tickets for next July’s Milton Keynes gigs went on sale on Friday. Stepping away from his brief stint with Them Crooked Vultures, Dave Grohl has returned to the Foo Fighters to start work on the band’s seventh album and it looks set to be an exciting effort. Especially as legendary producer Butch Vig will be working with them and Grohl’s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic is due to be making a guest appearance. With a line-up that includes Biffy Clyro and Jimmy Eat World, next year’s shows are likely to be a major event on the Foo Fighters’ 2011 calendar.

Kings of Leon

Their new album ‘Come Around Sundown’ may have dropped from the top of the album chart this week, but ticket sales for the upcoming Kings of Leon tours have failed to let them down. Their forthcoming arena tour hits the UK next month and then they’ll be back again next summer for some more huge outdoor shows.

ImageTake That

Despite selling out their entire 2011 stadium tour, Take That still appear to be creating a great deal of interest for their forthcoming shows. Out next week is their new album ‘Progress’, which will be the first to feature Robbie Williams since the band reformed in 2006. This means that there is little reason to forget about the tour just yet.

Biffy Clyro

A year on from the release of their hugely successful fifth album ‘Only Revolutions’, which included the singles ‘Mountains’ and ‘The Captain’, and Biffy Clyro are still managing to create a lot of excitement throughout the rock scene. Their new UK tour is about to hit venues at the end of the month and the band are again gaining some interest in the gigs.

Katy Perry

After winning Best Video for her single ‘California Girls’ at last weekend’s MTV Europe Awards, Katy Perry is still managing to impress with her latest track ‘Firework’ which continues to do well in the Top 10. Ticket sales for her forthcoming tour are doing pretty well too.

Paramore

Paramore have just kicked off their latest UK tour and the first few shows have already received great reviews. With a few more dates to go over the weekend and into next week, it’s looking likely to be one of their best tours yet.

Kyuss Lives

Josh Homme’s former band Kyuss have finally reformed – albeit without him. However, following their announcement of some UK tour dates next year, the shows already look set to be one of the biggest talking points on the 2011 rock calendar.

Usher

Following the release of his hugely successful sixth album ‘Raymond v. Raymond’ and his Number One hit ‘OMG’, R&B singer Usher is continuing to do well in the lead-up to his Jan/Feb UK tour, which includes three dates at London’s O2 Arena.
