Kele Reveals ‘The Hunter’ EP Details

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has announced that he will be continuing his solo career with an EP entitled ‘The Hunter’. The seven-track release is set to follow on from his well-received solo LP ‘The Boxer’, which saw him depart from Bloc Party’s trademark edgy guitar sound, embracing his electronic side.

‘The Hunter’ EP is a further collaboration between Kele and producer XXXChange, who was behind the production helm of last-years full-length effort. The EP is scheduled for release on October 31st through Wichita records.

‘What Did I Do?’ has been confirmed as the first release from the EP, a track which sees Kele abandon his vocal duties, handing over the microphone to vocalist Lucy Taylor.

Meanwhile, Kele recently claimed that he would be returning to the studio with Bloc Pary in September, a move which fans of the group have anticipated since they embarked on an extended hiatus over a year and a half ago. It has not been confirmed yet if Kele’s new solo ambitions will delay that return.
