Guitar legend and ex-Guns N’ Roses icon Slash has revealed through his official Twitter page that his new album is coming along quickly and nicely - and that it’s going to feature a shed-load of cowbell on too.
Slash, a.k.a Saul Hudson, has been working on the follow-up to his 2010 eponymous debut album since the summer, and is keeping fans updated on his work through his page on social networking site Twitter.
Slash wrote a couple of days ago: “Back in the studio tomorrow to do song #7. This is our last week before Xmas/NY, then resume recording on the 2nd. Iii|; )”
The following day, he went on to write: “1 song down, getting drums set up for song #2 for the day. is it possible to get 7 more done before Xmas? Who knows. The 70's called & asked for their cowbell back. We said "screw u, we're keeping it.' Iii|; )”
More recently, he posted last night that he had: “Just finished a track that fn' blazes. We'll record 1 more song tomorrow, then finish the rest next year. Last day in the studio today before the holidays. We've done some kick ass work in the last 2 weeks. Have a great Xmas & New Year! Iii|; )'”
Unfortunately for GnR fans, also posted on Wednesday that he hadn’t said he was going to be attending the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where there has been huge speculation that the original GnR line-up may reform.
“For the record, I didn't RSVP, or in any way commit to attending the RRHF,” Slash wrote. “I don't appreciate people putting words in my mouth. Iii|; )'”
