Metallica Announce The Creation Of 'Orion' Music Festival

The legendary Metallica have confirmed details of a brand new US festival, curated and headlined by themselves. The festival, titled 'Orion', will take place at Atlantic City's Bader Field on June 23rd and June 24th and will see Metallica play both nights performing The Black Album in its entirety for the first time ever in US.
After a anticipating build-up, which included the release of a teaser trailer for the announcement late last week, the news was announced via Metallica's Official Website shortly after 7pm (GMT) this evening. According to the website announcement, the two-day festival will see a host of bands, all hand-picked by Metallica, perform at the event prior to Metallica's headline set at the end of each evening.
Bands confirmed to appear at Orion include; Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, The Gaslight Anthem , Cage The Elephant, Fucked Up, Best Coast, Hot Snakes, Titus Andronicus, Gary Clark Jr., Lucero, Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, The Sword, A Place to Bury Strangers and Liturgy. 2-day passes for Orion will be available for $125.00 through Metallica's official fan club from 10am tomorrow, 8th February, while tickets will cost $150 when they are on general sale from 10am on 11th February. Metallica are often found at the top of many a festival bill, however, this is the first time the band have curated their own festival.NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
