Taking Back Sunday Frontman Has Leg Crushed By Tree

Adam Lazarra, frontman of Taking Back Sunday, had his leg crushed by a falling tree on the weekend – breaking it ahead of their headline slots at this May’s double-header punk festival Slam Dunk.

The singer was with the band at a recording studio in Michigan on Saturday, when he decided to leave the building for a cigarette. Whilst smoking, a tree allegedly collapsed – and landed on his leg, trapping him beneath it. Obviously injured, Lazarra called for the help of his band, who luckily heard his screams of pain and attempted to free the vocalist. Unfortunately for Lazarra though, the band couldn’t lift the tree – and they had to wait until a fire engine turned up alongside an ambulance to take him to hospital.

The incident broke the leg of Lazarra, who will now be forced to wear a cast for a month to two months, and could potentially jeopardise the band’s performance at both Slam Dunk Festival performances on May 26th at Hatfield University in Hertforshire and on May 27th at Leeds University.

If you’re a fan of the band and want to see them alongside other rock bands like Every Time I Die, Cancer Bats, Architects and many more, check the link below to grab yourself tickets to Slam Dunk Festival.
