Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson isn’t known for his rockstar behaviour or onstage outbursts, but if you’re gonna be rude and not pay attention at his gigs, you’re gonna end up getting an earful from the legendary singer - and one gig-attendee in Indianapolis found out the hard way.
Seeing Iron Maiden live is a cherished and highly-anticipated moment in any rockers life, and when they’re in the mood to be ripping through tracks like ‘Wasted Years’, you know you’re in for a hell of a show. But, when you’re at a great gig, you should be moshing away at your hearts content - not texting your friends telling them how great it was.
So when Dickinson saw one dude texting throughout not one, not two, but three of his band’s tracks, he took matters into his own hands - and called him out in front of everybody.
Shouting to the probably red-faced fan, Dickinson said: “Oh, for fuck's sake! The guy with the bald head in the white shirt - you've been texting for the last fucking three songs! You're a wanker!”
Luckily for the baldy, they were in America, and the majority of the crowd may be unaware to what a ‘wanker’ actually is - but we’re sure next time he sets out for a metal gig, he’ll at least wait until after the show to text all of his friends. You can check a video of the incident below.
Iron Maiden are currently touring the US, and are expected to bring the tour to the UK at some point next year. Stay with Stereoboard for any tour or news updates involving Iron Maiden.
