Platinum selling Liverpool band Space have announced the first dates of their 20th anniversary tour.
Space came to prominence in the mid 1990s with hit singles such as Female of the Species, Neighbourhood, Avenging Angels, Me and you Versus the World and The Ballad of Tom Jones.
The band formed in 1993 and released four studio albums, plus a number of charting singles, before disbanding in 2005. The new line-up features original band members Tommy Scott (vocals/guitar) and FrannyGriffiths (keyboards), along with Phil Hartley (double bass/bass), Ryan Clarke (vintage keys) and drummer Allan Jones, who will replace Andy Parle who died in 2009.
New album, 'Attack Of The 50ft Kebab', will be released next year. Scott said: “The band has evolved because we have three new younger members and I have sucked all their passion and youth out of them and made a great album. You can expect a battle ground of genres, from ska to post punk to easy listening all fighting together in the arena of death.”
