Thrash metal titans Metallica could be set to take the production from their epic concert/feature film ‘Metallica: Through the Never’ on tour.
The band will release their new movie, which is set to be a must-see for fans and features a surreal story about a Metallica roadie tasked with a special mission, in October.
Ahead of its opening in cinemas worldwide, bassist Rob Trujillo has revealed that they may be planning to take the stage production from the film on tour - saying that they ‘should put it to use’. He told Pulse of Radio:
“I don’t think you build something that incredible and not, you know, share it with the world. Obviously we’re just trying to get through this phase of the journey and gonna release this beast to the world and present it on the IMAX screens, and then after that, you know, we’ll see where the adventure takes us, you know. We do have this stage, we should put it to use.”
Meanwhile, Metallica are streaming a brand new live version of their monster track Master of Puppets - you can check it out below. The new rendition is taken from the soundtrack, which is a two disc CD set that will be released on the band's own record label Blackened Recordings on September 23. It highlights last year's career spanning sets at Rexall Place in Edmonton and Rogers Arena in Vancouver, where the band filmed a load of the footage featured in the film.
