Slipknot and Judas Priest have been confirmed for next year’s Download Festival.

The masked metallers, who recently returned with their fifth album, ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’, will headline the main stage on June 12, with Judas Priest as their special guests. Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said:

"Being invited back to Download always feels like coming home. Headlining Download, for the third time, feels like the culmination of a life's dream. It's an honour, a privilege and we're all looking forward to it."

Also confirmed for the main stage are Five Finger Death Punch, while Black Stone Cherry, who recently wrapped up an arena tour of the UK and Ireland, will top the bill on the second stage.

Tickets for the festival are on sale at 9am on November 20, priced at £170.00 for a weekend arena pass, £195.00 for a weekend ticket and three days camping and £205.00 for a five day stay. RIP packages are also available this year. Head here for details.
