Thursday, 25 January 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Metallica have announced that they'll reissue 'The $5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited'.

Nearly three decades after going out of print, a remastered version of the five-track record is set to arrive on multiple formats on April 13 as part of the legendary thrash band's ongoing remasters series via their own Blackened Recordings label.

The 1987 collection features the band covering songs by major influences Diamond Head, Holocaust, Killing Joke, Budgie and the Misfits, with the five songs later included as a part of Metallica's 1998 release, 'Garage, Inc.'.

Pre-orders will receive an instant-grat single of the remastered version of The Wait, which was originally released by Killing Joke in 1980.

'The $5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited'

1. Helpless (originally released by Diamond Head)
2. The Small Hours (originally released by Holocaust)
3. The Wait (originally released by Killing Joke)
4. Crash Course in Brain Surgery (originally released by Budgie)
5. Last Caress/Green Hell (originally released by the Misfits)
