MØ Channels Peter Pan In New Video For Diplo Collaboration Sun In Our Eyes

MØ has shared a video for Sun In Our Eyes.
The latest in a long line of collaborations with producer Diplo, it’s the lead single from the Danish pop star’s second LP, ‘Forever Neverland’, which will arrive on October 19 through Columbia, hot on the heels of last year’s ‘When I Was Young’ EP.
The video is set close to the shore on a cargo ship and was handled by director David Helman, while thematically it is derived from an overarching Peter Pan motif that MØ has staked out for the record.
“The video shows a gang of people who have chosen to break off from society and create their own world,” she says. “Peter Pan and the lost boys - sailing instead of flying - setting out for distant shores in hopes of finding and living out their dreams. Collectively they are rejecting the harsh reality of the lives and the world they used to live in.”
“Though Sun In Our Eyes is a love song,” she continues. “It circles the subject of being unwilling to accept the truth. You wanna keep riding the high even though you deep down know it might be wrong and that it's all a self made illusion.”
