Pixies To Document Making Of New Album And Band History With Podcast Past Is Prologue

Pixies have announced a new album.
The follow up to 2016’s ‘Head Carrier’ is due out in September, though an exact release date has not yet been confirmed. It was recorded at Dreamland Recordings near Woodstock in New York and will feature the same line up as its predecessor: Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Paz Lenchantin.
The band will delve into their history and the making of the record with a new 12-part podcast they’ve called Past Is Prologue. It will be guided by music journalist and author Tony Fletcher and, in addition to interviews with the members, will feature talks with producer Tom Dalgety. The first instalment will arrive on June 27 and weekly thereafter in the lead up to the new album’s arrival.
