Sunday starts with a vast soundscape, heavy with reverb and a maturity that echoes their decade-long career. The track then shifts to a more beat-driven, dance-punk attitude, that maintains traces of their earlier work with staccato, high-pitched guitars.
It comes after the release of previous singles Exits and On The Luna. All three will feature on the indie-rock band’s upcoming fifth LP, ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1’, which is due to arrive on March 8 via Warner Bros. The second instalment of the double album will follow in the autumn.
Yannis Philippakis and band will support their new record with a massive tour that hits the UK for intimate shows in March, before arriving in the US and Europe throughout spring. They’ll then play more UK dates in the summer, including two shows at Alexandra Palace.
