Halsey Drops Video Featuring Blondie's Debbie Harry And Cara Delevingne For New Single Nightmare

Friday, 17 May 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Halsey’s new single has arrived.

Nightmare is an explosive rock-influenced pop track, with a chorus that recall’s t.A.T.u.’s All The Things She Said and lyrics that give the patriarchy a dressing-down. "I’ve been polite, but won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should do in my bed," she sings, and later, "I’m tired and angry, but somebody should be."

The song follows up the vocalist and songwriter’s single with BTS, Boy With Luv, and 11 Minutes, on which she teamed up with Yungblud and Blink-182’s Travis Barker.

The track’s video mocks manufactured, oversexed looks and scenes that have come to be expected from female pop stars. Head below to watch it and keep an eye out for cameos from Debbie Harry of Blondie and Cara Delevingne.

Halsey will return to the UK for an appearance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball on June 8 at Wembley Stadium in London.
