The Avalanches have unveiled a video for their new song Running Red Lights featuring Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and rapper Pink Siifu.

Having recently teased the single on their Instagram page, the Melbourne electronic group have now released the full Greg Brunkalla-directed cinematic clip, which is dedicated to the late Avalanches collaborator David Berman and stars former America's Got Talent dancer Erik Cavanaugh alongside a cameo from Los Angeles icon Angelyne.

Cuomo's vocals flow over a hazy soundscape of harps and soaring synths with Siifu contributing a spoken word interlude to the emotional track. The band said:

"Running Red Lights didn’t start out as a defining moment; a single as it were. But Rivers responded to our fuzzed-out Spacemen 3 inspired jam with such open-heartedness, that we soon dropped all pretence and got down to the heart of the matter… loss.

"We love that wide-eyed, elated, almost evangelical Los Angeles sense of possibility that he tapped into. He captures that feeling that comes on the other side of the abyss, when you have lost everything and so then, there is nothing more to lose."

The single marks the second preview of the Avalanches' forthcoming, currently untitled, third album, following on from We Will Always Love You featuring Dev Hynes — aka Blood Orange. Stay tuned for further specifics on the follow-up to 2016's 'Wildflower'.
