Bright Eyes have released a new single.

With Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea on bass, Forced Convalescence plays with spiralling guitars and melancholic piano breaks as lead singer Conor Oberst muses about troubling times ahead.

The track promptly follows up Persona Non Grata, the trio's first new material in nine years that arrived in late March. Both are expected to feature on their forthcoming LP, which is due to arrive later this year via Dead Oceans.

Bright Eyes are set to hit the UK this September for a string of shows leading up to their appearance at End Of The Road festival in Salisbury.

Prior to this, the band have dates lined up across North America and Europe this summer. However, it is uncertain if all dates will go ahead as planned due to the coronavirus. Keep up to date in real time with new information via Stereoboard.

Bright Eyes Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue September 01 2020 - LONDON Eventim Apollo
Wed September 02 2020 - MANCHESTER O2 Apollo
Thu September 03 2020 - GLASGOW Barrowland
Fri September 04 2020 - DUBLIN Vicar Street
