Hayley Williams has released 'Petals For Amor II'.
The second EP of tracks from her upcoming debut solo album includes the previously shared cuts My Friend, Over Yet, Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris and Why We Ever, plus new track Dead Horse. The latter finds Williams' once again blurring genre lines, bringing together elements of ska, pop and indie, while her vocals take centre stage delivering candid lyrics and an earworm chorus. She said:
“PFA ll is the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going... Part lll isn’t far behind. I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms, and discover what I desire for my life.
"The latest single, ‘Dead Horse’, offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself. I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be.”
The Paramore vocalist was due to support the record with tours in the UK, Europe and North America. However, these dates have been postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Rescheduled dates for 2021 are due to be annouced soon.
The 'Petals For Armor' album is due for release on May 8 through Atlantic Records.
