Sharon Van Etten Shares New Song Let Go From Feels Good Man Soundtrack

Tuesday, 13 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Sharon Van Etten has unveiled a new song.

Co-written with producer Giorgio Angelini and Mike Semple, the sweeping Let Go showcases Van Etten's powerful and dynamic vocals. It follows Beaten Down, which arrived in February, following up 2019's 'Remind Me Tomorrow'.

The track was recorded for Feels Good Man, the Arthur Jones documentary about the history of internet meme Pepe The Frog which has been co-opted by the alt-right and white supremacists in recent years. It airs on PBS in the United States on October 19. Van Etten said in a statement:

"After watching the documentary, I just followed the feeling of coming to terms with something and tried to evoke peace through my melody and words. The song and film’s producer, Giorgio [Angelini] was a great collaborator and communicator and I was given a lot of freedom. That says a lot about the film and the people who made it."
