King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Announce 17th Album 'L.W.', Post New Track Pleura

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced a new record.
The absurdly prolific Australian band will put out 'L.W.' digitally on February 25, with a physical version following in the spring, though a release date is still to be confirmed. It marks the group's 17th album since forming in 2010 and was recorded remotely during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020.
The announcement comes with a new track titled Pleura, a woozy, psychedelic rocker that builds around an intricate, meandering guitar melody and skittering drums. It's the third single to be shared from the record, following If Not Now, Then When? and O.N.E. Head below to view its interesting split-screen video directed by John Angus Stewart of PHC Films, who said:
"I think a true document of live music shouldn’t rely entirely on editing. There is something that happens with the way we perceive images, if something "live" is too produced, your mind sort of loses interest. With this format, we wanted to leave the editing up to the viewer. The decision of who to look at, and at what time determines each individual viewing experience. With each watch your experience will be completely different, which mirrors gizzard’s experience playing the song live. The process is the same, yet the result is different."
