Foo Fighters have shared details of a disco-themed album for Record Store Day.

The Seattle rockers took to social media to unveil their alter egos the Dee Gees, as well as a new LP called 'Hail Satin', due out in time for the second RSD drop on July 17.

"Introducing…the Dee Gees!!!" they tweeted. "HAIL SATIN – coming to a local record store and dance party near you July 17th!!!"

The band posted a link to the official Record Store Day website, along with a teaser of a disco track. Recorded at Foo Fighters' Studio 606, the release features Bee Gee classics You Should Be Dancing, Night Fever, More Than A Woman, and a cover of Andy Gibb's Shadow Dancing among its 10 tracks. There's also live versions of five songs from the band's 2021 album 'Medicine At Midnight'.

Back in February, the group shared their take on You Should Be Dancing for Jo Whiley's Sofa Session on BBC Radio 2.

This Sunday (June 20), Foo Fighters will play the first full capacity show at Madison Square Garden in New York since March 2020, when restrictions were imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following that, they'll hit the road for concerts in Cincinnati, Milkwaukee, St Louis, Bonner Springs, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque between July 28 and August 9, with special guests Radkey. Tickets are on sale now.

Vocalist Dave Grohl recently unveiled a documentary called What Drives Us, and will drop his first book, The Storyteller, on October 5.
