Johnny Marr has confirmed the released date for his new double album.
The 16-song strong 'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4' will arrive on February 25 through BMG, following up 2018’s 'Call The Comet'. Prior to that, Marr will release the four-track 'Fever Dreams Pt 1' EP this Friday (October 15). He said:
“There’s a set of influences and a very broad sound that I’ve been developing - really since getting out of The Smiths until now, and I hear it in this record. There are so many strands of music in it. We didn’t do that consciously, but I think I’ve got a vocabulary of sound. And I feel very satisfied that I’ve been able to harness it.”
Alongside news of the record, Marr has announced an intimate livestream performance on November 10 that he's billed as Live At The Crazy Face Factory. Tickets go on sale at 9am BST on October 20.
The legendary singer-songwriter was recently confirmed as the special guest for the rescheduled UK arena leg of Blondie's Against The Odds Tour in spring 2022. Next year, he's also set to support The Killers on their US arena tour.
