Co-produced by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the track features on Karin Dreijer's latest album, 'Radical Romantics', released back in March.
The clip, meanwhile, was directed by their frequent collaborator Martin Falck and was filmed in the Swedish tundra. Dreijer said:
"North is about the desire to find out what is true, the curiosity and courage to sit with the most difficult emotions. It’s about the task of weighing words against actions, of letting go and the stillness that comes afterwards."
Alongside the video, Fever Ray has announced a new run of US tour dates for November. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (August 18). She'll also appear at London's Field Day on August 19 as part of All Points East.
