The Streets have dropped a new single, Each Day Gives.
Following Troubled Waters and Too Much Yayo, Each Day Gives unfurls over minimal skittering beats, a looping keyboard melody and string samples. It serves as the latest preview of their new album, 'The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light', due out on October 13.
The follow-up to 2020's 'None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive' will arrive accompanied by Skinner's first feature film, which shares its name with the new record. Commenting on the new song, he said:
"The way the album was written was very much with the film in mind. The songs weave around the scenes and the dialogue to give a bigger picture of what’s going on - sometimes really acting as the narrator. Each Day Gives comes as the main characters are facing a dilemma and working out what to do after their plans go awry - the song talks about overcoming little (and big) adversities and waking up each morning and treating it as a fresh start - until the next dilemma kicks in!"
The film is currently being toured at Everyman Cinemas nationwide through to October 6. Head here for further details.
The group will support 'The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light' with an autumn UK tour, which includes a London show at Alexandra Palace.
