Liam Gallagher And John Squire Release New Single Just Another Rainbow

Liam Gallagher and John Squire have released their highly anticipated new song, Just Another Rainbow.
The former Oasis vocalist and former Stone Roses guitarist announced the collaborative single in December, having teased a joint project for quite some time.
Teaming Squire's guitar with Gallagher's vocals, the psychedelic track serves as the first taster of a new album recorded by the two Britpop icons. Squire said:
"To me, the most obvious take on Just Another Rainbow is that it's about disappointment, and the sentiment is that you never get what you really want. But I don't like to explain songs, I think that's the privilege of the listener, it's whatever you want it to be. To me, it's also one of the most uplifting tracks we’ve made together, which is weird."
Gallagher added: "I think John's a top songwriter. Everyone always bangs on about him as a guitarist, but he’s a top songwriter too, man, no two ways about it as far as I'm concerned. There's not enough of his music out there, whether it's with the Roses or himself. It's good to see him back writing songs and fucking good ones.
"The melodies are mega and then the guitars are a given. But I think even when you take all the fucking guitars off, you can play the songs all on acoustic and they’ll all still blow your mind."
Gallagher will celebrate 30 years of Oasis' 'Definitely Maybe' album with a previously scheduled UK and Ireland tour early in the summer, ahead of topping the bill at Glasgow's TRNSMT. He'll also headline Reading andLeeds Festival and play a date at Vital Belfast in August. Tickets are on sale now.
Gallagher's brother Noel, meanwhile, is to feature on a new song called Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous), which is also rumoured to be arriving today. The track is set to appear on the forthcoming debut album by Shaun Ryder's new supergroup Mantra Of The Cosmos, which includes his Happy Mondays bandmate Bez, Zak Starkey from The Who and Oasis bassist Andy Bell.
