The Script To Support New Album 'Satellites' With Winter UK And European Arena Tour

The Script have announced a new album, which they'll support with a UK and European arena tour this winter.

The follow-up to 2019's 'Sunsets & Full Moons' is called 'Satellites' and will be released on August 16. The record saw Danny O’Donoghue co-writing with Steve Robson and Wayne Hector alongside bandmate Glen Power. It will be the their first without guitarist Mark Sheehan, who passed away in 2023.

The duo have previewed the album by sharing its opening track, Both Ways. Power said:

“‘Both Ways’ is high energy, and maybe not what people might expect from us. But we’re The Script, and now we have something to prove: that there is life and light after the darkness. It’s why we’re coming fast and strong with that one.”

“The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who's been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there. He always will be, but it's also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It'll never be the same Script. We're just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that’s to keep making more great music.”

The Script will support their new album with the Satellites World Tour, which will head to arenas across the UK and Europe later this year. The former leg will begin on November 13 in Belfast and conclude in Manchester on November 30, and the latter will run between December 2 and 11, when it will wrap up in Milan.

Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am local time on May 24. Support on all dates (except December 9, 10 and 11) will come from very special guest Tom Walker.
