Organisers have confirmed over 170 new acts for The Great Escape.
Playing host to over 450 up-and-coming artists and hotly tipped talent across more than 35 venues, the multi-day event known for providing a platform for rising artists and underground talent will return to Brighton in May.
New additions include Skunk Anansie (pictured), who will take to the stage on May 16 for an intimate performance on The Independent Stage at The Old Market, Badger, Blue Lab Beats, Bruise Control, Carol Ades, CLT DRP, Courting, Divide and Dissolve, Girl Puppy, Goddess, Knats, Mandrake Handshake, Maruja, Mechatok (Live) Nia Smith, RIP Magic, Sim0ne, Slag, The Molotovs, The None, Ugly and Zinadelphia.
They join an already stacked line-up that spans everything from pop and alternative to jazz, grime and punk.
Also, leading up to the main event, The Road to The Great Escape is set to return for showcases at King Tut's in Glasgow on May 9 and 10, and Whelan's in Dublin on May 12 and 13, featuring select artists performing ahead of the festival in Brighton.

Who? Peter Doherty, joined by Warmduscher, and Trampolene are set to perform a Spotlight Show on May 14, and Rizzle Kicks will play a Spotlight Show at Brighton Dome on May 16, while Skunk Anansie will play an intimate club show on The Independent Stage at The Old Market the same night.
Acts already announced include Jordan Adetunji, Lynks, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Westside Cowboy, The K’s, Real Farmer, Search Results, Wayside, TRAAMS, Silver Gore, Makeshift Art Bar, Harry Strange, Basht., Total Tommy, Field Guide, Stella Bridie, HotWax, Astral Bakers, Declan O’Donovan, and English Teacher, who will headline the new Billboard UK Live Stage.
