The inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2025 have been announced.
Cyndi Lauper (pictured), Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes made the cut, with The Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Mana, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, and fan vote winner Phish missing out on a place.
The late Warren Zevon and hip hop group Salt-N-Pepa will be honoured with the Musical Influence Award, while producer Thom Bell, pianist Nicky Hopkins and bassist Carol Kaye are inducted via the Musical Excellence Award.
Former Warner Bros. President Lenny Waronker, who famously signed Prince and R.E.M., will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Artists become eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording.
The 2025 induction ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on November 8. Ticket information will be released at a later date.
The class of 2024 included Ozzy Osbourne, Cher, Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest, Peter Frampton, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, and Kool And The Gang.
