Lorde Posts New Single Hammer Ahead Of 'Virgin' Release

Lorde has shared a final single ahead of the release of her new album.
Described by the New Zealand artist as "an ode to city life and horniness," Hammer serves up pulsing synths to open 'Virgin', due out next Friday (June 27). The song's Renell Medrano-directed video will premiere at 2pm BST later today.
Lorde previously teased the follow-up to 2021's 'Solar Power' with the singles Man Of The Year and What Was That.
She'll support the LP with her Ultrasound World Tour, which kicks off with North American dates in September and October, with the UK and European leg following between November 9 and December 9. She's finish up the year with two New York shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on December 16 and 17.
Tickets are on sale now, and £1 from every ticket sold for the UK leg will be donated to the Live Trust, a new funding initiative from LIVE that will offer financial support to the grassroots music sector.
