Westside Cowboy have shared details of their debut EP.

The Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition winners will release 'This Better Be Something Great' on August 8 via Nice Swan Recordings/Heist or Hit, with the news coming ahead of the Manchester quartet's performances at Glastonbury Festival later this week, which includes a set opening the Woodsies stage on Sunday (June 29).

To coincide with the announcement, the band have shared Alright, Alright, Alright, a frantic, Western-themed punk track produced by Lewis Whiting, guitarist for 2024 Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher. The group said:

"This song was the first original thing we ever played as a band, before we had any real ambition for the project to reach the ears of anyone outside of that room. It is a punk song about a cowboy, and if anyone can take away any more from it than that, consider us impressed."

Westside Cowboy previously shared the singles I've Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You), and Shells, which will both appear on the EP.

Following Glastonbury, they'll play a number of other UK dates, including LatitudeGreen Man, and End Of The Road, before hitting the road with Blondshell in September, and Black Country, New Road across Europe in October. Head here for details. Tickets are on sale now.
