Westside Cowboy have shared details of their debut EP.
The Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition winners will release 'This Better Be Something Great' on August 8 via Nice Swan Recordings/Heist or Hit, with the news coming ahead of the Manchester quartet's performances at Glastonbury Festival later this week, which includes a set opening the Woodsies stage on Sunday (June 29).
To coincide with the announcement, the band have shared Alright, Alright, Alright, a frantic, Western-themed punk track produced by Lewis Whiting, guitarist for 2024 Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher. The group said:
"This song was the first original thing we ever played as a band, before we had any real ambition for the project to reach the ears of anyone outside of that room. It is a punk song about a cowboy, and if anyone can take away any more from it than that, consider us impressed."
Westside Cowboy previously shared the singles I've Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You), and Shells, which will both appear on the EP.
