Suede have announced UK shows for their Antidepressants Tour, set for early next year.
The extensive tour will begin on January 30 in Folkestone, then heads to Portsmouth, Bristol, Guildford, Edinburgh, Liverpool, York, Lincoln, Norwich, Cambridge, Sheffield, Newcastle, Coventry, Bath, Nottingham and Southend, before wrapping up on February 21 in Brighton. Tickets go on general sale at 9am next Friday (August 29).
The dates will support the British band's 10th studio album, 'Antidepressants', due out through BMG on September 5. Singles already shared from the record include Dancing With The Europeans, Trance State and Disintegrate.
Suede will mark the album’s release with a previously confirmed residency at London's Southbank Centre, starting with two shows at the Royal Festival Hall on September 13 and 14, followed by an intimate off-mic performance at the Purcell Room on September 17. The takeover will culminate with their first full orchestral performance alongside the Paraorchestra at Queen Elizabeth Hall on September 19.
Frontman Brett Anderson said: "It’s a chance for us to stretch beyond the usual rock gig format. We are all huge fans of the Southbank. It’s the heartbeat of the arts in London. Expect old songs, new songs, borrowed songs, blue songs, drama, melody, noise, sweat and a couple of surprises."
They'll also play BBC Radio 2 In The Park in Chelmsford on September 7, supporting headliners Def Leppard. Bryan Adams will headline the event the day before. Tickets are on sale now.
