Super Furry Animals have announced their first tour in over a decade for next spring. Super Furry Animals tickets go on general sale at 10am today.
The Welsh band will kick off their Supercabra Tour at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on May 6, before heading to Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom, Llandudno's Venue Cymru, Cardiff's Utilita Arena and Manchester's O2 Apollo, before wrapping up the trek with a pair of shows at London's O2 Academy Brixton on May 22 and 23.
Support will come from duo Getdown Services on all dates except London, where trio Honeyglaze will play, while Welsh six-piece Melin Melyn will appear in Cardiff.
Alongside the announcement, the five-piece have confirmed a 20th anniversary reissue of their 2005 album 'Love Kraft', set for release on October 24.
Formed in Cardiff and emerging in the early '90s, Super Furry Animals are the latest band from that era to reunite, following in the footsteps of Oasis, Pulp and Supergrass. The upcoming shows will mark their first time performing together since December 2016.
Their most recent studio album is 2009's 'Dark Days/Light Years', though they've since put out several anniversary editions of their earlier records.
Since their last performances together, frontman Gruff Rhys has continued his successful solo career, releasing a number of solo albums, the latest being 'Dim Probs' in September. The other four musicians have been making music as Das Koolies since 2019, dropping two albums under that name.
