Super Furry Animals have announced a major outdoor London show for the summer.
The reunited Welsh band will headline Alexandra Palace Park on July 12, joined by special guests The Beta Band, who'll be celebrating their 'The Three E.P.'s' compilation. Tickets go on general sale at 9am next Friday (December 5).
The new London date follows the spring UK and Ireland leg of Super Furry Animals' Supercabra Tour, their first run of shows in over a decade. Getdown Services will support across the tour, except at their two O2 Academy Brixton shows, where trio Honeyglaze will perform on the first night and The Bug Club on the second. Melin Melyn will also join for the Cardiff show.
The band will also headline Cannons Marsh Amphitheatre on June 24 for the Bristol Sounds concert series, with Gwenno as special guest, and the Live At Llangollen Pavilion series on July 2 with Panic Shack and Melin Melyn. Tickets for all previously confirmed shows are on sale now.
Super Furry Animals haven't released a studio album since 2009's 'Dark Days/Light Years', though they've remained active with a string of anniversary reissues, most recently a 20th anniversary edition of 'Love Kraft', featuring the previously unreleased track Rock 'n' Roll Flu.
