Luke Combs has released a new song, Giving Her Away.
The heartfelt ballad follows the Country Music Award-winning North Carolina artist's three-track EP 'The Prequel', released in October, and his summer single Back In The Saddle. Combs said of the song:
"One of my good buddies Josh Phillips sent me this song that he wrote and I was just absolutely blown away by it. Josh has just been on an absolute streak recently with these songs that he’s been writing and this one luckily made it to my inbox. Josh used to crash on the couch with me back in Boone and I used to go down and play shows with him, so it’s kind of a full circle moment for me to get to record one of his songs and put it out there for you guys. I think it’s real special and I hope you guys love it."
Combs will kick off his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour with North American shows next spring, followed by UK and European dates in the summer, including two concerts apiece at Dublin's Slane Castle and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and three at London's Wembley Stadium.
Dierks Bentley, Ty Myers and Thelma & James will support the opening show in Las Vegas, with the same acts plus Jake Worthington featuring for the rest of the North American stops.
The Script, Ty Myers and The Castellows will support Combs in Gothenburg and Amsterdam, with Myers and The Castellows in Paris, The Teskey Brothers, Myers and The Castellows in Edinburgh, and Thomas Rhett, Myers and The Castellows in London. Tickets are on sale now.
The stadium trek is named after one of the songs on 'The Prequel', which Combs recently confirmed will appear on his forthcoming album, the follow-up to 2024's 'Fathers & Sons', expected next year. The other two songs on the EP, 15 Minutes and Days Like These, are also set to appear on the project.
