BTS have announced their first studio album in over five years, and a world tour.
The groundbreaking K-Pop icons will release the new record on March 20, with the group confirming the news with handwritten letters to their ARMY (BTS' official fandom), following a reset of their official Instagram account at midnight on January 1, which sparked speculation among fans.
"We've waited more earnestly than anyone else," member RM wrote. "The year we've been waiting for has finally arrived," Jimin shared. "In 2026, we'll make even more good memories, so look forward to it!" V added.
The currently untitled album, BTS' fifth to date, will feature 14 tracks and will be supported by a full world tour, with dates and ticket details set to be revealed next Wednesday (January 14).
The tour will mark the superstars' first major run of dates in nearly four years, following the conclusion of BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in Las Vegas in April 2022.
As part of their comeback, BTS have also launched a new website, 2026bts.com.
All seven members of BTS reunited last year after a hiatus that began in 2022, during which they completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. While on hiatus, various members explored solo projects.
In July last year, BTS released their first live album, 'Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE', capturing their Permission To Dance On Stage World Tour, which ran from 2021 to 2022.
Their last full-length releases were 'Map of the Soul: 7', 'Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey' and 'Be', which all dropped in 2020.
