James Blake Announces Seventh Album 'Trying Times' With First Single Death Of Love

James Blake has laid out plans for his seventh studio album.
The two-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will release 'Trying Times', his first independent album after leaving Republic Records, via Good Boy Records on March 13. Among its tracklist are collaborations with Monica Martin and Dave.
Alongside the announcement, the London artist has shared the record's first single, Death Of Love, which serves up his signature sparse, atmospheric sound with ghostly electronics and choral elements. Blake's most recent solo studio album came in the form of 2023’s ‘Playing Robots Into Heaven’, though he put out the collaborative record 'Bad Cameo' with Lil Yachty in 2024, the same year he dropped d his 'CMYK 002' EP.
