RAYE has announced her sophomore album.
The multi-award winning South London singer-songwriter will release 'This Music May Contain Hope.' through Human Re Sources on March 27, following up her critically acclaimed 2023 debut album, 'My 21st Century Blues'.
The album will be set in four seasons, with each side of the vinyl release covering a different season, taking listeners on a journey from darkness to light. RAYE said:
"Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it."
The 17-song album will include the multi BRIT Award-winning and Grammy-nominated artist's latest single, Where Is My Husband!, released last September, though the tracklist's full details are still to be revealed.
Earlier this week, RAYE was nominated for two BRIT Awards in the Song Of The Year and Best Pop categories for Where Is My Husband! Head here for more details and a full list of nominees. The awards ceremony will take place at Manchester's Co-Op Live arena on February 28, and will be broadcast live on ITV1 and streaming service ITV X.
She was recently honoured with the Recording Academy's Harry Belafonte Best Song For Social Change CEO Merit Award for her song Ice Cream Man, whch features on her debut LP. She is also nominated for Best Music Film at the 68th Grammy Awards for 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall'.
The album announcement comes just a day after RAYE kicked off her mammoth arena tour, billed as This Tour May Contain New Music, featuring support from her two sisters, Absolutely and Amma. The trek continues across mainland Europe until mid-February, when she'll return for a run of UK and Ireland dates, including six nights at The O2 in London, followed by the North American leg in the spring.
Additionally, she'll support Bruno Mars on The Romantic Tour in the US this summer, and headline the UK's Reading and Leeds festival in August, alongside Charli XCX, DAVE, Chase & Status, Florence + The Machine, and Fontaines D.C.. Organisers have also announced that 2026 will be the first year that Leeds hosts performers on the main stage on the Thursday, with Kasabian topping the bill. Tickets are on sale now.
