ZAYN has announced his fifth studio album.
The follow-up to 2024's 'Room Under The Stairs' is titled 'KONNAKOL' and will arrive on April 17 via Mercury Records.
The former One Direction member took to social media to confirm details of the pop-leaning record, his most culturally inspired project to date, and shared artwork featuring a snow leopard, an important symbol in South Asia that reflects his heritage. He said:
“It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album… KONNAKOL in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music, this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go."
The first single from the album, Die For Me, will drop tomorrow (February 6). ZAYN debuted new material from 'KONNAKOL' during his first Las Vegas residency last month, which followed his 2025 debut headline solo tour.
Most recently, he collaborated with BLACKPINK's Jisoo on the single Eyes Closed last October.
