Neil Young has cancelled all of his upcoming UK and European tour dates.
The Canadian-American rock veteran and his band The Chrome Hearts were scheduled to play several summer gigs in the UK and Ireland, as well multiple shows across mainland Europe, but has apologised to fans in a statement on his official website:
"I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time.
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts.
LOVE
Neil
be well"
Young and his band were set to kick off the tour in June with an Eden Sessions performance at the Eden Project in Cornwall and conclude it in Lucca, Italy in July. Other major shows on his itinerary included Manchester's Heaton Park, Glasgow's Bellahouston Park, Cork's Virgin Media Park, Blenheim Palace Festival, the inaugural State Fayre festival and Cardiff's Blackweir Live.
Last summer, the renowned singer-songwriter released 'Talkin To The Trees', his first album with The Chrome Hearts — Spooner Oldham (keys), Micah Nelson (guitar, vocal), Corey McCormick (bass, vocal), and Anthony LoGerfo (drums).
