Shakira and Maluma have teamed up again on AGUA, their first collaboration in eight years.
The steamy Latin pop track pairs Carribean-influenced rhythms with polished pop production and arrives with a video directed by Hannah Lux Davis. It marks the two Colombian superstars fifth collaboration, following 2016's Chantaje, 2017's Trap, 2018's Clandestino and their work on the 2016 remix of Carlos Vives and Shakira's song La Bicicleta.
AGUA arrives as Shakria prepares to begin the final leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, with a 12-show residency in Madrid starting tonight (September 18), her first shows in the region in eight years. The tour is named after her 2024 album, her first in seven years. She'll also play a rescheduled show at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt in November.
Earlier this year, the singer collaborated with Burna Boy on Dai Dai, the official song for this summer's FIFA World Cup, and featured on a remix of Zara Larsson's track Eurosummer, from 'Midnight Sun: Girls Trip', a reimagining of the Swedish artist's fifth album, 'Midnight Sun'.
Shakira also played a massive free show on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach in May, performing to more than two million fans as part of the Todo Mundo No Rio concert.
Maluma released his first new album in three years, 'Loco X Volver' (loosely meaning "dying to return"), in May.
