Originally known as a member of the The xx, he is now also one of the country's most popular electronic artists in his own right, having first released a track under the moniker back in 2009 via his FACT Magazine mix. He released 'We're New Here'—a collaborative album will Gil-Scott Heron—in 2011, and his second album, 2015's 'In Colour', was nominated for the Mercury Prize and a Grammy Award. His third and most recent LP, 'In Waves', arrived in 2024. Jamie xx will headline the inaugural LIDO Festival in London, and Primavera Porto in Portugal in June 2025.
