John Lodge is a musician from Birmingham, best known for being the bassist, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for the longstanding rock group the Moody Blues.

After a re-shuffle of original band members, Lodge was solidified in the Moody Blues line up in 1966, his distinctive falsetto vocals revising the sound of the band from that point forward. They went on to release 16 albums from the 1960s to the early 2000s. In 1985, the Moody Blues picked up the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

In May 2015 John released a solo album titled '10,000 Light Years Ago,' which reunited him with original members Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder. He has put out more records since then, his latest full-length release being 2023's 'Days of Future Passed - My Sojourn'.

John Lodge will celebrate 58 years of the Moody Blues album 'Day Of Future Passed' by playing it in full, plus his greatest hits, on a UK tour in April 2025.
